Not sure. Any problem ? Gavroche is authentic French food, and of good level,to say the least. Usually service is proper too.
Unfortunately, I have no idea about it
Great French Bistro. Food was delicious. Great selection of French wines and the desserts are amazing.
Feels like being in Paris. Best brasserie so far in Singapore. Foie gras is excellent. Meat (confit de canard and tartare) is good and well prepared. Frites are disappointing. Wine list is nice but don't expect a bottle for less than SGD 100.
Average food, inexperienced wait staff.onion soup felt watered down and mains of duck Confit was average. For the price I was disappointed.
Lovely cozy place, nice ambience! Tasty food with reasonable price! Attentive waiters :) definitely will come back here again
Service is awful! The owner of restaurant and waiters are very rude and impolite I will never recommend this place
Great for take away. I loved Brasserie Gavroche when I could dine in. But it's great for dining out. Ordered pate and sole meuniere. Frites and spinach. Got a 15 % discount and food was hot and delicious in my home 15 minutes later. Will do this every week.
A good french food location with a nice service
Authentic french food, Nice brasserie ambiance
The steak frite is nice. We ordered medium and it is very well cooked. The restaurant had a very nice ambience and not too noisy. And of course nice touch to the dessert! Thanks to the staff at Brasserie Gabroche for making my birthday so memorable!
Real french, real good. Go for the classic 'bavette' and pair with wine. I'm french. This is a slice of home
Enjoyed this french restaurant, reminds me of the days in Paris. Great dishes too
Nice discrete entrance. Cosy atmosphere inside yet crisp and clean and neat. Excellent waiters. Truly refined. Unusual in Singapore. The portions are hearty and not stingy like other French restaurants in Singapore . The wine glass is filled with a heart, the simple bread and butter is delicious which indicates what’s to come. Simple yet correct brasserie classic dishes and crepes Suzette !! In fact the desert menu is perfect.
Ordered during the circuit breaker: Cote de boeuf, spinach and french fries. All arrived warm and well packaged with some little gift. The meat was excellent, spinach were good too. Only downside with the french fries which seems to be industrial/frozen.The tomahawk is a dish I would never order in the restaurant as it clearly serves around 4/5 people.
The restaurant is located in an intimate space with a continental feel to it. The oversized, timber-framed menus were cumbersome to handle; while they look impressive they quickly become a distraction. The dishes offer a good range of French tastes, though nothing was truly spectacular. The wine range was unsurprisingly decent. The upside down apple tart could have been a little more tart.
Hearty French bistro, on the pricey side. Cheese ravioli, bone marrow appetizer, and lamb chops were standouts.
It is a nice French restaurant with reasonable pricing.
A very good meal
Lovely lunch. French Classic Bistrot food, good winelist, lots of choices by glass, good service. I’ll be back
The food was great and the only issue for me was a group of rowdy customers during peak hour. The seats do not buffer sound and it will become quite awkward if you are caught in that situation. Regarding the food, we had the Beef Stew, Lamb Chops, Foei Gras and Onion Soup... all really solid stuff! Hope to come back and try again when it is not during peak hour. Keep up the great service and cooking!
Did a takeaway during CB and was impressed with the food. Will try dining in the next time!
Very good food and service. Respectable selection of wines. Helpful service and attentive staff. I will be back soon for another visit - Merci beaucoup!
Pretty cozy and classy looking place. Lovely interior and delicious food. Really like the deboned quail and the bone marrow.
This was great. The escargot really stands out, will be back to try the other dishes for sure.
Everything is ok.Except if you want to arrange to send something (say birthday floral bouquet) to your guest there, better call to inform them before hand. Otherwise the staff could be very unfriendly.
A bit too loud and noisy when full. But we were also contributor of the noise. Nice service, water always available without asking. Menu a little bit complicated for first timer like me, so we follow recommendation from service staff. Was a great experience with friends. But main course was average, dessert and appetizer is very yummy.
A great French bistro in Chinatown. You have to know the address as I didn't notice any signs outside to indicate the restaurant is there. Good service and delicious food. Their foie gras terrine was wonderful. The boneless quail was pretty ok. The raspberry mille-feuille was a treat as most French restos where I come from don't have them.
2nd time here and still amuses me! Good food good price good ambience good service. Classic authentic French food.
Interior design very nice, but bad service.
Great food, wine, ambience and service. Not cheap but not excessive either. By Singapore standards would say you get what you pay for at this good quality restaurant. Enjoy!
We came here for lunch and spent around $160 without wine for 2 pax. The service was attentive. For entrées we ordered Grandpa Henri’s baked pork terrine and duck liver and onion soup. Both were highly recommended. For salad we had green beans with Alaskan king crab and yoghurt which had a generous portion of crab meat that was wonderful. The server said duck confit it’s their signature dish. The duck skin was very crispy and one of the best I had tried. However the meat is dry and tough. I’m disappointed. I couldn’t finish it. My partner ordered pan seared cod with lentils. We both feel it tastes quite bland. We had apple tarte tatin for desserts. I prefer my desserts to be sweeter. I had a complimentary piece of madeleines at the end of my meal.
A nice intimate atmosphere and good food. Staff was attentive and friendly. I really enjoyed the skate.
This place is perfection. My second time here and just as good as the first. The escargot is absolutely divine and the scallops are perfectly cooked! I had the caviar the first time. The flavor was delicate and served on roasted potatoes to bring a tinge of sweetness out.
Classic French cuisine done right. The pâté en croûte, quail, and scallops that we ordered were all good. Nice romantic ambience. Only service could be better. There were only two servers and the chef had to come out and take orders. We were the first to be seated at 6:30 pm and it got busy after so it took us really long (about 20 mins) to finally flag someone down to get our bill.
Wonderful steak tartare and bone marrow toast
Good place for French cuisine..excellent service and tasty food
Probably the best and most authentic brasserie in Singapore. One of my big time favourites. Priced correctly and never any bad surprises. I can only recommend it.
Celebrated my birthday here! Was served by mr. Yap, thankyou for making my day! He not only talk us through the menu patiently, he was also very attentive even while helping us taking a polaroid photo 😂 The food was in very generous portions and the iberico pork was the real deal!! (Had fake claimed iberico in another restaurant in sg before). I mean look at the photo i attached, such a big portions too🤤🤤🤤 Cheese dishes was good. For dessert, we had the day’s special which is mango tarte tatin! It is godly, we managed to get the last one too, lucky us! Also, usually I dont comment on the interior but the interior of this place is pretty true to how brasserie in France is. The whole experience was really great value for money! We were happy from the moment we stepped in to ordering food-drinks-appetizer-main-dessert. Can’t wait to visit again!
Nice setting, reasonably price. Only issue is the lack of staff and waiting times.
Great ambience, great service staff and if you've watched the film Julie & Julia and need to get your sole meuniere fix, this is the place to go. Highlights include the french onion soup or trout tartare for starters and the sole meuniere or Ribeye steak for the main course.
It's my first time trying out this place and what's more is during the CB period when we can only do takeaways. But the collection experience had been speedy with the food still feeling warm. The taste was great - the cauliflower couscous was not overly creamy and the duck confit was not overly dry. And not forgetting the dessert, it was light, crispy and had a light buttery vanilla fragrance to it. Will look forward to trying this place after CB. 👍
Amazing place and food. Staff Valentin is lovely....
Like the ambience and the food is value for money.
Been coming here for years. Astounding consistency on the food and service absolutely spot on. Happy to eat here everytime.
Classic French fare done with great care and great attention by the owner. A go to when creating French cuisine and now a reference in Singapore
Entree and mains are well done. Wine recommended by crew was perfect for the meal. Could have been perfect if the crew were attentive to the details at the beginning. Sizeable dinner crowd on Tuesday. Overall a pleasant experience.
Nice ambience and excellent choice of French wine. Food portions are generous for the price, and can be a hit and miss. The french onion soup, cheese ravioli, sauteed spinach, pavlova are delicious. But the hangar steak (medium) is chewy and crepes is below average. Service is excellent. Tables are located too close though. My chair was scraping that of the diner behind me.
It was my first time there, ordered the scallops with cauliflower as a main, it did not impress me for $38 price I paid. They were not seared on both sides, did not brown nicely and was a little raw on the inside. As much as the experience at the restaurant was pleasant, the food did not impress me nor my partner. He had the steak and it wasnt good either.
Parisian cuisine. Nice ambience with good wine selection.
The best French restaurant I've been to...superb experience! Great food and fantastic service
Recommendation from a friend, and very pleasant experience indeed. Not used to share my experiences in restaurants but actually feeling quite good to do so now! Food is excellent, I loved the paté en croute and the tartare steak. The Cotes-du-Rhone was OK although a bit pricey. Service very friendly and waiters looking like in Paris!! The Chef is greeting the customers and it is very very nice. Thank you, we will come back!
